A  very good infact near mint example of the british MKI* brody helmet which was made by Hadfield Ltd of Sheffield ( hs marked shell ) this company manifactured helmets during the period 1916-1919 this being the rimless example and has the number 405 next to the makes intials to the rear of the helmet over this in a grey / white paint  is the officers details who owen this helmet Frank willcock 60651 who was commisond into the Royal Engineers during 1939 the outer part of the helmet has a thick early war green sand / textured finish paint to it the liner is a very nice and original to the helmet 1937 dated example again in mint condition size ( although i would not recomend wearing this helmet ) is a 7 and made by helmets ltd with the correct inspectors stamp near these markings

on a personnal note I think it would be very hard to find a early war example in such good original condition as this is in let alone it being a mki rimmless example
